AR filters for TikTok and Snapchat

We work as a team and build an effect people can try on right in the app. We start with the idea and a sketch: what the filter does, how it looks and which logo or character it has. Then we create 3D elements or 2D graphics and assemble the effect in the platforms' own tools: TikTok Effect House for TikTok and Lens Studio for Snapchat. We test it on iPhone and Android, then hand over the file and upload instructions. We do not make Instagram effects: Meta closed Spark AR in January 2025 and new effects can no longer be published there. Publication goes through the platform's moderation, which we do not control, so we plan extra time.

Who it is for

For brands, cafes, salons, events and content creators who want a shareable format for reach and brand awareness. It is not a fit if you need a complex game mechanic, payment by results or a guaranteed rise in followers: an effect makes sharing possible but does not guarantee reach.

Not included

To avoid surprises, here is what the base price does not cover and what is discussed separately:

  • Running accounts, posting on your behalf and filming content for them
  • Promotion, targeted ads and guaranteed reach
  • Complex effects with body tracking, game logic or external services

FAQ

After payment the effect and the source files are handed over to you, and you can use them on your accounts. TikTok and Snapchat have their own rules for effects, and following them is a shared responsibility between you and us. We use fonts, music and other people's images only under a licence, and we pass you copies of those licences.

The price includes two rounds of revisions after the first version: colours, elements, text or the effect's reaction. A new idea or a full redesign of the mask is paid separately and agreed in advance. Fixing a rejection in review is included in those two rounds if the cause is in our file.

Usually 5 to 10 working days from the moment the idea and logo are agreed. The platform's review takes separate time, often from a few days to a week, and we cannot influence its speed. So leave a buffer before an important publishing date.

A logo as vector or PNG with a transparent background, your brand colours, a description of the idea and examples of masks you like. If the mask features a character, send its images. All materials must be yours or used with permission, otherwise the platform may reject the effect.

Yes, if the person has given written consent to use their image. We do not make masks that recognise a specific person or pass them off as someone else. We do not make such effects for public figures or staff without their permission.

Review sometimes rejects effects for reasons that are not visible in advance, such as resemblance to another brand or content rules. If the cause is in the file, we will fix it within the revisions. If the refusal is tied to platform rules or changes to them, we will honestly explain what can be done.

You get the effect file for TikTok and the project for Snapchat, plus source files in common formats such as PSD or PNG for graphics. For testing we send a link or QR code that opens the effect in the app. Every file comes with upload instructions.
