No. We write a short guide with commands to start, stop and view logs. Two or three commands are enough for everyday work.

The project code, a list of external services it uses, and a file with environment variables without their values. If there is a database, share its structure and, if possible, a test copy.

Containers run on any server with Docker, for example a VPS. Some shared hosting plans do not support Docker, and then it is easier to run the project on a VPS. Before we start, we will honestly say whether your option works.

Yes, Docker Desktop runs on these systems. Performance on Windows can be lower, so we verify the launch on your machine.

No, we package the project as it is. If the code has hard-coded paths or settings, we move them into environment variables.

No, the data lives in a separate volume, so updating the image does not delete it. We still recommend a backup before updating.

Yes, a new service is added to docker-compose. If setting it up needs separate work, we will assess it in advance.
