We design and build a desktop application that runs on Windows and macOS: the interface, local or cloud data storage, file import and export, and report printing. We choose the technology for the task: Electron or Tauri for one codebase on both systems, C# with WPF for Windows, or PyQt for a Python team. We prepare the installer (.exe or .msi for Windows, .dmg for macOS) and installation notes. Code-signing certificates and a paid Apple developer account are arranged separately, and we will tell you what to buy.

For companies and specialists who need a program on a computer: warehouse accounting, working with equipment, local reports, tools for designers and engineers. It is not a fit if you only need a website or a mobile app, which we offer as separate services.

Not included

To avoid surprises, here is what the base price does not cover and what is discussed separately:

  • Code-signing certificate for Windows and a paid Apple developer account: you purchase them, and we will tell you what to buy
  • Updates for new Windows and macOS versions after handover, unless you ordered support
  • Server side and cloud sync if they are not part of the agreed scope
  • Publishing to the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store: a separate review by the stores

FAQ

After full payment we hand over the source code and the ready installers, and the rights to the program are yours. The program may use open-source libraries; we list them at handover and check that their licences allow commercial use.

The price includes two rounds of revisions after the first working version is agreed: changes to screens, fields and reports within the approved scheme. New sections, new integrations or a change of technology are estimated separately.

Usually 14 to 30 working days from the moment we have an approved screen scheme and access to the data. Building for both systems and testing the installers takes separate time, so we confirm the exact date at the start.

A list of tasks the program must handle, examples of the Excel files or reports you use now, and sample data without personal information. We also need the list of Windows and macOS computers the program will run on, and a person who will check the result.

Yes, if you choose local data storage: SQLite is kept on the computer and does not need a network. If you need sync between computers, a server is required, and that part is estimated separately.

We test the build on virtual machines with Windows and macOS and on real computers if you provide them. Some details, such as window behaviour and fonts, differ between systems, so the final check is best done on your hardware.
